Brief 3:: Laser Cutting Business Cards

Today I lasercut Lavinia's business cards to see how this process would work in relation to her concept of panopticism within society.

I had to play around with the velocity of the laser to ensure the paper didn't burn...

 

Once I had cracked this I tested it on coloured stock and then the GFSmith samples I ordered...

I particularly like the fabric laid stock as it creates a nice texture for the business cards and also represents fashion.

However, I am not sure on the laser cutting. It is not as subtle as I would have liked it to be. So I am going to try embossing this logo onto the paper instead.
