Yearbook:: Cover Design

We have decided to use an open bind and extended cover which will encase a pull out poster, this has been inspired from a photography magazine.

The yearbook cover will be printed on GFSmith 270gsm Colorplan white frost paper stock. The colour on the cover will be UV spot varnished to create a difference in texture. The cover design will have an extended front cover which will open out to reveal a paragraph of information about the course and a encase a 28 x 28 cm square pull out contact poster. The pull out poster will include a photograph of each graduating student and their contact details. It will be held in place via two die cut slits at two of the corners and be slotted into place, the poster can then be removed and retained as a point of contact to all graduating students. The pull out poster will be printed on GFSmith 100gsm Colorplan white frost paper stock.

The spine of the yearbook will use an exposed bind which will allow you to see each leaf of the book. It will also allow for maximum visibility of the images in the book as the spine will open to lye flat as not to cut any of the imagery out.

Here is the flat full cover design I have mocked up
